GOTCHA !!
Welcome to the WebAngel "GOTCHA" page.
You arrived here because you clicked on a
demonstration of one of the fake document examples that are displayed
on our website.
If you had clicked
on that link in an email that had arrived in your inbox, you
would have been taken to a page that asked you to
disclose personal details, or install a harmful program onto
your computer.
If you had provided
any information on a website form, it could have been
immediately used to withdraw funds from
your
bank
account,
or cause you some other type of harm.
How To Identify fake links:
Click on the
back button on your browser.
You will be taken back to the fake
document
that
brought
you here. When you get there, place your mouse
over the link you clicked (but don't click it)
This link may look very genuine. However, look at
the bottom of your browser and look at the actual address to which
you will be taken if you click on the link. You should see the
address of this page on the Webangel site. In a real example,
this link would go to the genuine looking website that is operated
by the scammers.
PHISHING SCAMS - Don't Get Caught.
Protect
yourself and DELETE
any unsolicited email that asks you for personal information.
-
regardless of who sent it
- and regardless of any reasons given.
Your bank or financial institution will NEVER send you an email asking you to click on a link to conform
